Air filter is component on internal combustion engine to protect combustion room from unnecessary particle like dust, or larger coloid in the air. without air filter the vehicle engine will damage sooner because this particle have behaviour like sandpaper when it was compounded by mixture fuel and air. the combustion room on vehicle engine will faster eroded so their surface become more thin and finally the vehicle engine will lost their power because the pressure at become dropped.
A particulate air filter is a device that composed which fibrous material, with certain configuration so it will be remove solid particle in air before it being mixture with the fuel. it also added few material such like catalyst to remove other unnecessary air component than can harmful the engine material. like ozone and volatile organic compounds .
by using the air filter mixture of fuel and air will be cleaner so it can increase car performance and lifetime of vehicle can be longer.
you must be selective before decide to buy and using custom air filter, diferent type of engine can be diferent on air filter needed specification. wrong in choose may be decrease your engine performance and harmful your safety. note of selection material on your filter, design and maintenance
